Our primary technology, in successful use for over 25 years, is based on an in-house, proprietary flexible conductive plastic element. We have developed many custom-blended, engineered formulations to meet the wide variety of resistance values and function performance characteristics demanded by our clients for their applications.

Carter continues to fully support the older wire-wound technology and undertakes new design work to meet its own existing and new applications and also to provide wire-wound devices to replace those which no longer are supported by other firms. An extensive library of wire-wound designs is available to meet many applications.

Most of our business is in military and commercial avionics applications and industrial controls. In recent years, Carter has partnered with medical and electronic firms to provide position sensing devices for robotics, operating room applications, diagnostic instruments and medical devices.
